Future Diplomats Forum 2025

The Future Diplomats Forum 2025, hosted by HISA – Public Policy Research Institute, is a four-day event in Washington, DC, designed to empower the next generation of global leaders. This dynamic program brings together aspiring diplomats, international relations enthusiasts, and policy advocates from diverse backgrounds to discuss, learn, and engage with critical topics in global diplomacy. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with experts, diplomats, and policymakers, gaining insights into the complexities of international affairs, global governance, and conflict resolution. The Forum offers an immersive experience with interactive workshops, panel discussions, keynote sessions, and collaborative projects aimed at equipping attendees with the skills and knowledge needed to become impactful diplomatic leaders.

The program is not just about lectures and conference hall briefings, it’s way more than that! We are giving our “Future Diplomats” a once-in-a-life opportunity to get up-close to key U.S institutions and gain hands-on experience of U.S democracy and policymaking.

A Highlight of the forum will be an exclusive Visit to the U.S. Congress, Supreme Court, Think Tanks & other key institutions providing participants with an insider’s look at the heart of American democracy. This visit will offer a unique opportunity to observe firsthand the workings of legislative processes and engage with lawmakers, gaining insights into how diplomatic relations, policy-making, and international collaboration are conducted at the highest levels. This experience will enrich participants’ understanding of the interplay between domestic policy and global diplomacy, underscoring the importance of legislative bodies in shaping international affairs.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to all regions and nationalities; diversity is highly encouraged.
  • Age: 18 – 45 years (students, recent graduates, and young professionals are encouraged).
  • Background: Open to individuals with any educational or working background.
    Interest in international relations, diplomacy, political science, public policy, law, human rights is a plus one. 
  • Language Proficiency: Proficient in English, as it will be the primary language of communication during the event.
  • Availability: Must be able to attend the full duration of the event from April 3-6, 2025
  • Commitment: Enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are actively engaged in their communities or international initiatives.

Scholarships for Future Diplomats Forum 2025

HISA is offering 25 Fully Funded Scholarships and 100 Partial Funded Scholarships for talented participants. These scholarships are aimed at making the Forum accessible to talented individuals regardless of their financial background.

Selection Criteria

Future Diplomats Forum 2025

The HISA – Public Policy Research Institute is looking for driven individuals to participate in the Future Diplomats Forum 2025. Applicants will be evaluated based on the following selection criteria to identify those who have the potential to become future leaders in diplomacy and international policy:

Strong Motivation

  • Demonstrated passion for global issues, international relations, diplomacy, or policy-making.
  • Clear objectives for participating in the forum and a vision for how the experience will impact their future endeavors.

Desire to Un-Learn and Learn

  • Openness to new perspectives, adaptability, and a willingness to challenge preconceived notions.
  • Eagerness to learn from diverse viewpoints and engage in meaningful discussions to broaden their understanding.

Global Issues & Solutions Focus

  • Awareness of key global challenges such as climate change, human rights, conflict resolution, and sustainable development.
  • Interest in contributing to discussions on practical solutions and policy frameworks to address these issues.

Education & Professional Experience

(Preferred, Not Required)

  • Academic background or professional experience in fields like international relations, political science, public policy, law, or related areas.
  • This is a plus but not a mandatory requirement; passion and motivation are equally valued.

Volunteering Experience

(Encouraged)

  • Involvement in community service, NGOs, or international volunteer initiatives.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to making a positive impact and a proactive approach to addressing societal issues.

Writing and Communication Skills

  • Ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communication.
  • Competence in expressing thoughts on complex topics and engaging in constructive dialogues during forum activities.
