Position Overview:

HISA is seeking passionate and motivated individuals to serve as HISA Youth Envoys, responsible for mobilizing young people worldwide. The HISA Youth Envoys will play a crucial role in engaging young minds in debates, dialogues, and initiatives that align with HISA’s vision and mission.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Youth Mobilization:

  • Develop and implement strategies to mobilize young people across different regions.
  • Utilize various communication channels, including social media, workshops, and community events, to reach and engage the target audience.

2. Debates and Dialogues:

  • Organize and facilitate debates, panel discussions, and dialogues on topics relevant to HISA’s mission, focusing on involving young voices.
  • Foster an inclusive, diverse environment that encourages open discussions and knowledge exchange.

3. Advocacy and Promotion:

  • Promote HISA’s vision and mission through effective communication and outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to create compelling content for various platforms, including articles, videos, and social media posts.

4. Youth Empowerment:

  • Provide resources, mentorship, and support to young activists, enabling them to become effective advocates for sustainable development and humanitarian causes.

5. Network Building:

  • Establish relationships with youth-led organizations, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to amplify HISA’s impact.

6. Reporting and Documentation:

  • Keep detailed records of activities, including participant engagement, event outcomes, and feedback.
  • Prepare regular reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for humanitarian work, sustainable development, and human rights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven experience in youth mobilization, community engagement, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with global issues and an understanding of the challenges facing young people today.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).

Time Commitment:

This is a part-time, volunteer position with an expected commitment of approximately 4-6 hours per week.
