What is the UN SDG Forum and who organizes it?

The UN SDG Forum is an international platform hosted by HISA – Public Policy Research Institute that brings together youth leaders, policymakers, diplomats, and development experts to track progress, build accountability, and accelerate solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

When and where will the 2025 edition be held?

The 2nd Edition of the UN SDG Forum will take place from November 6–9, 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand.

What happened in the first edition of the UN SDG Forum 2024?

The First Edition of the UN SDG Forum was successfully held in Bangkok in October 2024, bringing together over 80 delegates from 35+ countries. It focused on climate action, youth inclusion, and digital equity, and featured sessions with global speakers, interactive workshops, and a declaration of actionable commitments from youth delegates to fast-track SDG achievement.

Who can apply for the 2025 edition?

Individuals aged 18 to 48 from any country and background are eligible to apply. A strong interest in SDGs, youth leadership, policy, or sustainable development is essential. Prior international experience is not mandatory.

What are the delegate categories and funding options?

• 20 Fully Funded Seats (includes flights, accommodation, visa support, meals, and forum access)
• 50 Partial Funded Seats (excludes flights but includes accommodation, visa support, and forum access)
• 100 Free Forum Access Passes (grants entry to all sessions but does not cover travel or accommodation)

How are applicants selected?

Selection is based on your application form and a 300-word motivational statement, evaluated for clarity of vision, commitment to SDGs, and leadership potential.

Is English proficiency required?

Yes, participants should be comfortable communicating in English as all sessions will be conducted in English. However, no formal test or certification is required.

Will I receive visa support if selected?

Yes. Selected delegates in all categories will receive an Official Acceptance Letter, visa guidance, and documentation support for their application to the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in their respective countries.

What kind of sessions will be held at the forum?

The forum includes keynote speeches, panel discussions, SDG-focused workshops, networking meetups, and action planning labs. Themes include climate justice, youth leadership in governance, gender equality, digital transformation, and financing for development.
