Being part of HISA as a global scholar has given me access to a pool of incredible delegates with various professional and geographic background. This was a huge value add because the connections will outlive the conference. Furthermore, I have appreciated learning about policy development and governance; I enjoyed listening to different perspectives on how education and social challenges are being tackled, and the dynamics around governance at a macro and micro level in government institutions. As the world’s challenges grow complex, HISA is doing the incredible work of putting key representative people in a room to facilitate and enable equally complex solutions. That, in itself, is very powerful and definitely something I am excited to be a part of.
